PMKisan

PMKisan is the official app of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) project, promoted by the Government of India, with the objective of helping to boost small farmers' income in the country. The project was rolled out in 2019 under the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW), which in turn is overseen by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

An app for small farmers only

As mentioned above, in order to enjoy the benefits of this app, you need to fall within the required labor category. To do so, you have to provide both a Registration Identifier and a telephone number for quick verification. It is important to note that entering fraudulent information within the app may constitute a crime.

Benefits for small farmers

The main benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi project is that eligible families will receive 6,000 rupees per year directly into their bank account. This is split over three payments of 2,000 rupees every four months. From the app you can do lots of the leg work involved in choosing the account you want to receive the payments into.
